Known for its wonderful diving and snorkeling, Bonaire's natural reefs are protected areas and offer spectacular views of coral formations, fish, turtles and other marine life. Dive sites around the island are clearly marked and accessible by shore diving or dive boats. Discounted equipment and dive packages are available next door. Even with over 20 years of diving and snorkeling on Bonaire we are still discovering amazing new things to find and photograph.

Lac Bay on the Sorobon side is known for its world-class windsurfing with a steady breeze year around. Just minutes away, it offers white sand beaches and shallow water ideal for families with young children and ideal for all level of windsurfers, even beginners. Enjoy a delicious lunch and drinks overlooking the bay.

Lac Bay is also known for mangroves. You can arrange a kayak tour of the mangroves from dive shops including the one next door or the Mangrove Kayak Tour Central at Cai.

The Washington-Slagbaai National Park, located on the north end of the island, is a great day trip. See Bonaire's natural landscaping and wildlife at its finest. Dive, snorkel or swim at these beautiful sand beaches. The choice of a 1.5 or 2.5 hour driving tour will expose you to natural Bonairian beauty. Plan additional time to snorkel with the giant parrot fish at Wayaka II. Stop for a quick bite and explore the old plantation at Slagbaai. Be prepared for a rugged dirt road ride with water holes during rainy season. Arrive early enough to spend ample time for the drive and making stops along the way as you will not be allowed in the park if you cannot complete the route and exit before the 5:00 P.M. gate closing.

Kline Bonaire, a small island off the leeward coast, offers great snorkeling and is accessible by water taxi. Kline Bonaire's only inhabitants are the local animals and birds. You can spend as little as 2 hours or plan a half day trip. A two hour turtle tour on Kline Bonaire will expose you to sea turtles and possibly some turtle nests. Bring water, food and sun block. diving at Kline Bonaire cn be arranged by dive operators.

Other activities: Kite boarding lessons or rentals ara available near the south dive site, Atlantis. Land sailing is available on the island road to Rincon. Explore this scenic island's north coast road by car, bike or moped. Once past Karpata you can go directly to Rincon or explore the longer way to Gotomeer Salina and its wonderful view from the overlook. From Karpata go further north along the coast turning inland just before BOPEC to find Gotomeer Salina. In Rincon you can take a guided tour on Saturday morning or explore it on your own. Eat local food at Rose Inn off Kaya Rincon or stop for an ice cream treat at Le Mar. On the return from Rincon you will pass an Indian inscriptions sign that will lead to Onima, the easiest-to-find ancient inscriptions of rock art. Follow the sign to Seru Largu at the top of the hill of Santa Barbara to see an amazing view of the salt pans to the south, east and north to the rugged coast and lighthouse on the leeward side and west to the town and resorts.
